Reggie is a sweet little spitfire of a Boston Terrier. He’s about 15 pounds and a year and a half old. We do update his bio often because he is constantly learning better habits and we are exposing him to more situations to learn more about him!
Reggie needs an active home where he will be exercised and continually trained. He is a smartie pants and learns quickly, but he does not like to be bored and it causes him anxiety being idle or looking for something to do (which also gets him into trouble!). He’s on an anxiety medicine to help him learn it’s okay to chill out sometimes, but he still wants to be “on the go”. If he’s left to his own decision making, he will chew on your shoes or tug on blankets, so a new owner will have to stay one step ahead of him and make sure he has plenty of toys and positive guidance.
He does wonderfully going for walks and meeting new people. He can be pretty overwhelming to other dogs inside or left with unstructured play, so in order to consider a home with other dogs we would require a few meet and greets. We’d also recommend if there are other dogs in the home that there not be any small children as he can get pretty ramped up playing and we’d hate for him to accidentally hurt a kiddo that’s trying to play too. If he doesn’t have dogs in the house then he does have excellent children manners!
If you would like to meet this handsome little guy please go to www.texassweetiesdogrescue.org to read our adoption requirements. If you agree with the requirements please fill out an adoption application. If your application is approved one of our volunteers will be in touch with you for a meet & greet.
Reggie’s adoption fee is $200 which includes shots, neuter, microchip & remaining doses of his anxiety meds (new owner would need to refill).
Sorry, no out of state adoptions
